The British School of Bucharest has, as I have pointed out before, many good points, but the lack of staff stability is not one of them. The question is why. One could just use heaps of adjectives but that would not be creditable or verifiable. So I have chosen to tell the stories of many staff members to illustrate the problems. These stories are true, credible and verifiable.
The response from BSB has not been to challenge the statements made, because they know that what has been written here is true. Instead they went on a fishing expedition to try to flush out the authors so they could denigrate them. So there was a comment published by Tommac alias the principal, which made many false statements about the 3 staff members she thought were behind this blog, in the hope that they would get a response that would identify the author. She thinks she knows but she hasn't got it right yet.
I have no doubt that parents and staff have all been told who the administration thinks is running this blog and have doubtless they been fed a lot of terrible stories about them, as the dishonest comments by tommac showed. In stories yet to come it will become very apparent about who is telling the truth and who is not, because that, is one of the issues that has to be dealt with at BSB.
The purpose of anonymity is to focus attention on the issues, without that BSB managers would shoot the messenger (as they have already tried to do) instead of heeding the message.
It is not my intention to denigrate the fine pupils or staff of BSB, the problem is not with them, the intention is to alert prospective and current staff to the problems in the school management. Forewarned is forearmed.
The problem at BSB is with top management and the solution is in the hands of the parents.

Parents must be united and must do something else than talking with the management.This has already done tousand of times and the response was invariably "If you don't like the school why are you staying here, you can move your child in another school".
Those that are fed up with the management style of work must put some money together, rent a space, hire a principal and start a new school.
The entire school is run from current income, the school leases buildings, pays staff, and Corina. There are no capital assets other than computers furniture and the like.
Consequently it would not be difficult for parents to band together with the lessors of the school and reformat it without Corina. Would need to set up Romanian companies and that sort of thing but not really difficult. The problems you mention above happen because parents approach the school one by one or in small groups and are easily picked off.
Concerned parents need to have their own meetings and decide collectively what they want to do.
It's hilarious. Did you ever consider to change the management of the Mercedes Corporation or to reform the corporation's policy because you didn't like the car? C'mon!
Unfortunately this school is not a "MERCEDES" but an old "DACIA" and in fact the managemnt at "DACIA" has been changed some years ago and now they made a much better car - maybe not a Mercedes but a much reliable one.

Let's focus on concrete things.
Could somebody(maybe Bredrin) make some research for us to know what are the differences betwen a top paid school in England and BSB. How many students/ teacher, facilities, laboratories, teachers degrees etc.
It's well known among the international community in Bucharest and elsewhere that schools that are set up as business to make money for the owner often have problems putting kids and teachers first. I think this is the situation at BSB. Parents need to be careful about such schools, which is why my children do not attend BSB.
What another alternative do we have? What school does your children attend?
Does anybody know something about the new british school near Cora in Pantelimon? I heard that is only 6000 euro/month and they are expected to have great facilities.
And only 15 pupils/class. English teachers.
Truth is not defamatory, lies might be. What has been written in these blogs are mainly what actually happened to a number of past teachers. The readers are capable of seeing where the problems lie.
If BSB wants good teachers then they have to change their management substantially.
Re the cars analogy: lot of rot. Parents individually are powerless, collectively they could be very powerful, but they would have to organise themselves and work out a course of action independently from BSB before taking on the school. As I have said, until the school moves into its new premises everything is run out current income. It would not be a huge job to restart the school under new management - If the parents were willing to work together for their children.
The problem with meetings attended by Corina is that nothing Corina says can be taken as true. Everything has to be cross checked and when it is you frequently fine that her statements were false / dishonest.
